Service Description

4-hour: $800 6-hour: $950 Get your cameras out and ready as we explore the Backcountry of the Florida Keys! Prepare to see and learn about the magnificent creatures of our waters and islands as Captain Landon Johnson gives you the full tour of what we call the “Backcountry”. The Backcountry waters have an average depth of 1-6’ keeping our waters consistently calm, making it a great excursion for all family members regardless of the fear of getting “sea sick”. The huge variety of sea life and birds will keep your eyes busy through out the entire day, every where you look there will be animals swimming, crawling or flying! This excursion consists of slow cruising on the boat over shallow sandbars and through narrow mangrove canals. This trip offers a great opportunity for photographers, film makers and the family that wants to experience and learn about our local wildlife. For this, an 9:00 a.m. departure time is recommended as most wildlife moves in the mornings, along with the best light for photos and filming. You can also pick from any time of the day. There will be NO SNORKEL GEAR on this trip. There will ALWAYS be a fishing rod on the boat for those who want to try their luck at catching a fish! With multiple snapper, jack and shark species roaming the flats, there is great opportunity for catching fish. We will have a cooler filled with ice and water. It is important to bring food or snacks on the boat, there is multiple grocery stores in Key West to choose from, Publix being our favorite.
